I’d like to start up a competition to encourage all you young Canadian composers out there. There’s a lot of talent out there waiting to be exposed. Now I feel that winning any music contest should be an award in itself, by why not make the victory all the more sweet with a monetary prize? I haven’t decided on the actual amount yet, but I’ve realized that I can get some help from the internet through donations. Essentially the prize amount will be a combination of what I can afford in addition to what I’ve been given online.

And so, may I introduce . . The (First Annual?) Feed a Starving Young Canadian Composer Award!

I’ll let you guys know the details once I’ve finalized everything. If the ‘donate button’ on the right-hand panel doesn’t work, please let me know.

EDIT: read the rules here and enter the contest here!
